At Tuc’s Place is a shared living facility and as so we must ensure all residents safety and recovery journey is our priority.

This is not a standard rental process but a path to recovery. Residence in the home will be working individually to recover from life’s obstacles. Even though each resident is working on their own path they will be taking the journey with their house mates.

At Tuc’s Place we would love to house everyone in need, but we can’t. We do our best to house individuals serious about recovery and making a better life path. We place residence we think will succeed well together. Some will stay with us a long time and some for just a short stay.

Application acceptance criteria

There are three parts to our application paperwork: 
  1. Application
  2. Intake assessment
  3. Background check

We know background checks will not come back perfect. We do not house sex offenders. We look at violent crime and arson details closely on a case-by-case basis. We consider background checks case by case depending on the makeup of the home. The application is a gathering of basic information and references from your care team for contact.

Intake assessment is more personal details we consider determining your success in the home and which home would fit you best.

We owe it to you, other residence, staff, and the neighborhood to insure we place you in the correct home for your success.

  • We do not take sex offenders.

  • We consider arson and violent crime, date committed case by case.

  • We consider medical needs.

  • We consider gender for gender specific homes only.

  • We consider if we can meet transportation needs.

  • We consider your moving on date to see if it aligns with our vacancy.

  • All residences are charged the same rental fee, supply charge, and cleaning fee.

  • We do not base our decision on means of payment, example- voucher, assistance, self-pay, only that charges will be covered.

We move quickly to qualify residence and will notify you as soon as possible. If we do not have a suitable opening but have a referral to another property provider, we will let you know. We can also place you on a wait list if approved but we have no current vacancy.​We want nothing more than for you to succeed.  ​
